Halloween is over, and as it always does, the holiday season seems to be moving in with a vengeance. Not to worry, we aren’t complaining!
The holidays are a wonderful time in Calgary as the city embraces the spirit of giving and strengthens its local community through Christmas fairs, pop-up shops, and seasonal markets. Its local makers, artists, and small businesses’ time of year to shine.
From holiday crafts to handmade jewelry to sustainable wellness products to unique stationery, and so much more. You can find stocking stuffers and gifts from the heart for everyone on your list at these annual local markets.
Here are six you won’t want to miss happening throughout the month of November.
This Canadian marketplace has been featuring the work of local artists, makers, and artisans from coast to coast since 1986. This show is a beloved annual holiday shopping event that we continue to look forward to year after year.
When: November 4 to 7
Where: BMO Centre – 20 Round Up Way SE
This notoriously grand market is back after missing the 2020 holiday season. In efforts to hold their event in the safest way possible, tickets are required to be purchased prior to attending and proof of vaccination or a negative covid test must be shown prior to entry. Get ready to shop over 190 vendor booths and enjoy the holiday magic once again at Spruce Meadows.
When: November 26, 27, and 28
Where: Spruce Meadows – 18011 Spruce Meadows Way SW
This iconic night market is popping back up in the heart of Inglewood for their second annual ‘Holiday Night Market.’ Weave through the shopping bays below the SouthBank condo building and shop to the tune of live local musicians lighting up their stage. A portion of each ticket ($5) will be going to support Music Mile.
When: November 12, 19, and 26
Where: Southbank Condo Building – 880 9 Street SE
Bundle up and get ready to enjoy food trucks, bonfires, live music, reindeer viewing and exciting holiday shopping over two weekends in November. Established in 1988, the Millarville Christmas Market is a much-anticipated event that always gets us in the holiday spirit and is a great spot for grabbing unique gifts for those hard-to-shop for people on our list.
When: November 4 to 7 and 11 to 14
Where: Millarville Racing and Agricultural Society – 106087 192 Street W
Starting up during the pandemic, this little market has made a massive impact on the local community as it only continues to gain in popularity. Since their first market in November of 2020 they have hosted over 120 local businesses and donated over $3,000 to local charities. Popping up in NW Calgary, get ready to peruse a curated selection of makers and small businesses, and shop local for the holidays.

Happening in the gorgeous space at the Brownstone in Downtown Calgary, this modern little market is the best spot to find unique gifts and trendy essentials.
