Calgary Humane Society is running its annual Home for the Holidays adoption campaign throughout December, hoping to find loving homes for more than 200 animals.

The campaign features a special "Choose Your Own Adoption Fee" initiative designed to remove financial barriers and help more animals leave kennels for the comfort of a home.

"Every single adoption creates a ripple effect—changing the life of the animal going home today, and opening critical space for the next one who urgently needs our help," said Carrie Fritz, Executive Director at Calgary Humane Society.

Throughout the month, staff and volunteers at the shelter (4455 110 Ave SE) are available to help find the perfect match for potential adopters.

Community members who aren't ready to adopt can still help by sharing adoption profiles on social media, encouraging friends and family to visit the shelter, or donating to support animal welfare.
