Good morning, Calgary!
I collaborate a lot with people from all over North America and I can tell you with absolute certainty… I am neither professionally nor personally ready for the time zone shuffle next week.
9:00 p.m. Flames games. 1 hour time difference from Toronto. And if I drive directly south for about 3 hours, I’ll be in a different time zone. This shouldn’t be affecting me this much but as someone who has a broadcasting background, I was always told “The clock rules,” and now I just want to say, “Go home clock, you’re drunk.”
Check out our map on what time it is and where and feel free to bookmark it if you need to - I know I for sure will be.

Alberta Time, explained: what changes in Calgary when the clocks don't fall back
This Sunday, Nov. 1, is when Calgarians would normally turn their clocks back an hour. Not this year. The province has made the summer clock permanent and renamed it Alberta Time, so this is the first fall in more than 50 years that Alberta isn't falling back.
The clock on your wall won't change, but a lot around it will feel different this winter. From about Nov. 19 to Feb. 9, the sun won't rise before 9 a.m., there won't be a single sunset before 5 p.m., and Toronto will be one hour ahead of us instead of two. Here's what that means for your mornings, your meetings and your devices.

Growth spurt at Calgary's child advocacy centre: Luna has outgrown its home
Calgary's Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre was built to support about 1,000 children and youth a year. Last year it supported 4,713, according to its latest impact report, and a bigger centre is under construction. For Child Abuse Prevention Month, CEO Karen Orser told the Calgary Citizen why Luna has grown so fast and what happens there.
“Luckily, if you don't know about Luna, it means you probably haven't been here,” Orser said. Here's how Luna works, who to call if you're worried about a child, and how you can help finish its new centre.
