The 2025 Calgary Stampede, running from July 4 to 13, will again highlight Indigenous culture through two major events: the Elbow River Camp and the Stampede Powwow. Elbow River Camp features 26 tipis representing the Kainai, Piikani, Siksika, Tsuut'ina, and Stoney Nakoda Nations, all part of Treaty 7. Open daily during the Stampede, the camp includes artisan displays, traditional foods, and cultural demonstrations. The area has been part of the Stampede since 1912 and was renamed from "Indian Village" in 2018 following consultation with Indigenous partners.

The Stampede Powwow will be held at the Scotiabank Saddledome on July 12 and 13 and is open to all Stampede Park visitors. It features competitive dancing in eight categories and four age groups, with participants from across North America. The total prize pool is $200,000, making it one of the most significant events of its kind in Canada.

This year's First Nations Princess, Pacey Strangling Wolf of the Kainai Nation, will serve as an ambassador for the five Treaty 7 Nations throughout the Stampede. She joins this year's Stampede Princess, Breanna Correia, in promoting cultural understanding and community involvement.
