Heritage Park Historical Village's President and CEO, Lindsey Galloway, is stepping down after leading the organization through a period of significant growth. His retirement takes effect November 18, and the search for his successor is already underway, with Galloway staying on through the transition.

"Leading Heritage Park has been one of the great privileges of my career," said Galloway. "We've strengthened the organization, built an exceptional team and positioned Heritage Park for an exciting next chapter."

Mike Lindsay, Chair of the Park's Board of Trustees, said the leadership change doesn't shift the organization's direction. "While Lindsey's retirement marks an important leadership transition, Heritage Park's vision for the future remains very focused," he said, pointing to the strong leadership team and long-term priorities already in place.

Heritage Park bills itself as Canada's most visited living history museum, drawing more than 650,000 visitors a year to its 127-acre grounds. It's been connecting people to the history of the Canadian Prairies since 1964.

Galloway said he's looking forward to helping ensure a smooth handoff. "There is tremendous opportunity ahead," he said. "Heritage Park helps build understanding of our past at a time of great uncertainty when that perspective is vitally important to understanding the present and shaping the future."
