Calgary Citizen Newsletter Thursday May 4
Thursday, May 4 | ⛅️️ High 27C, Low 9C | 7-day forecast
Good morning, there!
I’m Julie, a third-year journalism and digital media student at Mount Royal University. I’m thrilled to join the Calgary Citizen for the summer as the latest intern! Growing up in small-town Saskatchewan, I’ve always had a passion for community. When I first moved to Calgary I was overwhelmed, but I’ve learned that the local people and businesses can make you feel right at home. As part of the Citizen team, I’ll be able to report on news and events, highlighting the individuals who make Calgary great. In my free time, you can find me playing guitar, crocheting, or enjoying a bike ride around the city.
Question for you: who’s someone you know in YYC doing something amazing but doesn’t get the recognition they deserve? Reply back and let me know!
👀 In today's edition:
Uniting the community with dance
Charges in a three-decade-old case
Get sweaty with these boxing gyms
