📰 A small plane with a single pilot crash landed on a golf course near the Calgary International Airport
Global News spoke with one person at the course who said he had just finished on the green and moved on to the next hole when the plane crashed where he had just played. As CTV reports, the pilot and sole occupant, a man, suffered minor injuries, according to Calgary police. He was assessed on scene.
📰 Man wanted for murder of Good Samaritan was a 'danger' to community, police: parole docs
CBC is reporting that one of the Edmonton men accused of murdering a Good Samaritan last week in a violent carjacking east of Calgary had just finished serving a prison sentence during which he was denied parole because of the danger he presented to the community and law enforcement, newly released documents show. Meanwhile, Global News is reporting that the murder suspect is still in Alberta and there is a reward for his capture.
