If you have thoughts on nuclear energy in Alberta, now's the time to share them. The province is running an online survey until March 24, asking Albertans whether nuclear should be part of the electricity mix — and anyone can fill it out at alberta.ca/nuclear-energy-engagement.
The survey wraps up a engagement process that's been running since August 2025, which included nearly 5,000 responses to an earlier survey, input from 40 organizations, and hundreds of Albertans showing up to virtual and in-person town halls. The province's Nuclear Energy Engagement and Advisory Panel also met with Indigenous communities, municipalities, and regional stakeholders along the way.
Everything gathered will feed into a final report to the Minister of Affordability and Utilities, due March 31, which will shape what Alberta's nuclear roadmap actually looks like.
