Where does Calgary rank on the livable city list?
Where do you think Calgary ranks on the world's most livable city list? // Krista Sylvester
Calgary is the fifth most livable city in the world, and most livable city in North America, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s 2024 Global Livability Index. Last year, Calgary was the seventh most livable city.
“Calgary’s rank as the most livable city in North America is a testament to the high quality of life and the opportunity that exists in our city. We can see it in the record number of people moving to Calgary who come here to build a life and career,” says Geraldine Anderson of Calgary Economic Development, adding it’s not time for the city to rest on its laurels.
“That said, the work doesn’t stop. We will continue to work with community organizations, businesses and Calgarians to ensure we build on the momentum, keep investing in ourselves and ensure Calgarians can see a future for themselves and the next generation.”
